Established in 1989 as a provider of premium quality products, Frigoken Ltd is a member of the Industrial Promotion Services (IPS) group of companies, which is in turn a member of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED). AKFED is an international development agency that promotes private sector entrepreneurship in the developing world, especially in sub-Saharan Africa and South-east Asia.

Currently Kenya's largest producer of processed vegetables, Frigoken's customers include a broad range of leading European companies, supermarket chains, as well as one of the largest vegetable processors in Europe.

AKFED is also affiliated to the Aga Khan Development Network, an organisation dedicated to improving human living conditions, strengthening cultural foundations and promoting corporate social responsibility.

Our vegetables are handpicked daily and taken to one of the 'Frigoken Collection Centres' located in rural areas, where they are quality inspected before transit to our Nairobi factory. Here they are processed in the shortest time possible so as to ensure their freshness is guaranteed.

Year-round supply, unlimited production Thanks to the superb Kenyan climate, our year-round production capacity can be tailored to suit any pre-determined customer schedule. This means our customers can benefit from operating at optimum stock levels.

Versatility of range and market flexibility We have the flexibility to process any kind of premium Kenyan horticultural produce, which includes the very best 'classical variety' extra-fine French green beans (Haricots Verts), snow peas, baby corn, cornichons and gherkins to name but a few. We can also process tropical fruits.
