Githunguri Dairy Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd is a farmers

organization with its offices in Githunguri town, Kiambu district. Our

mission is to assist the members to produce and market high quality

dairy products by providing them with efficient, quality and economic

services. The turn around in the society¹s fortunes has culminated in

the successful launch of packaged milk into the market last year (July

2004). The society now receives more than 80,000 litres per day from

the members up from 25,000lts in 1999. Consequently, the society helps

the farmers in collecting, processing and marketing the milk and other

dairy products under the flagship of Fresha. The society has invested

heavily in technology in a bid to improve services to members while

giving consumers value for their money. It is for this reason that the

society was awarded this year¹s Investor of the year COYA award under

the SME¹s category.

Among the products we process and package includes:-

Fresha Whole Milk, Fresha Super Fine Ghee, Fresha Yoghurts, Fresha

Butter, Fresha Cream.These products have already found their way into

many households and institutions including up-market hotels,

restaurants and bakeries.
